'Save Sapphire first, let's get her to the hospital! Zayn, get a car instead of standing there like an immobilized ant, Claire, get the first aid box," she screamed out orders and Claire quickly nodded, running to the door at the speed of light, it was like her feet weren't touching the floor at all, Zayn also went out of her sight and some men advanced towards her to help carry Sapphire.
She saw that Alexander hadn't moved from the same spot he was since the Arielle fiasco started, it made her gritted her teeth in irritation and despite the fact that she always tread cautiously and respectfully around the man, she didn't know when she snapped at the man angrily.
'You wife is here in the pool of her own blood, dying and barely holding on to life because of the stupid thing she did well th this crazy woman," she said, glared at Arielle who had been cuffed briefly and turned to Alexander. 'But you don't even seem like you care in the slightest bit. You have been standing at that damn spot, did you suddenly stop loving her when you saw how crazy her family is or how dumb she is?" Luci snapped at him, Zayn who had hurried over because he couldn't find the keys paused in his steps, staring at Luci in surprise.
There's definitely nothing this woman isn't capable of in the face of danger, she would become dauntless at the snap of an eye.
'Whoever said anything about dying? When you are done with the fun you are having, you can stand up and apologize. Just so you know, I am still mad at you." Alexander said calmly and Sapphire who had been lying on the floor in the pool of her own blood suddenly sat up and stared at Alexander with dull eyes.
'You are a joykill!" Sapphire said to the man who just continued to stare at her with the leveled look.
'W…what?" Luci stuttered, she stared at Sapphire with wide eyes.
'OMG!" Claire, who had run out of the house and was almost where they all gathered around Sapphire, halted in her steps, staring at Sapphire in shock, her eyes went from her blood, to her stomach and then her face.
Zayn only scoffed at them in amusement, he couldn't believe that he wasn't able to see through the dirty trick that Sapphire used.
Arielle who had calmed down suddenly started to struggle, she was livid that Sapphire was not dead like she thought so she wanted to try again, she almost didn't believe that she made the same kind mistake that she punished Felix for.
It was too late for her though because she had been cuffed and held still by four men, their security men had turned their focus to Arielle when they saw that nothing happened to Sapphire and there wasn't even a gun that she could use in this situation.
'Was… was that supposed to be funny?" Luci asked Sapphire who was dusting her cloth, the residence was squeaky clean so there wasn't any dust on her cloth, she just wanted something to do while Luci yelled out her guts at her.
'I never thought of it as fun. It was just something I needed to do if I wanted to put Arielle under control, she is after me and won't rest until she gets me but then I hid myself very well which made it super difficult for her to get to me, I was afraid that she would become frustrated and go around killing innocent people, so I scarified myself."
'Sacrificed yourself? Hardly. The ones who were sacrificed were the guards that were killed, look at them on the floor in the pool of blood that is realer than your fake one," Luci said and Sapphire face dampened.
'It wasn't part of the plan to make them become her sacrificial lamb. That's why they were in the shadows, they were supposed to get out and interfere but my Arielle had to throw a rabbit in here. Who knows what she had attached to the poor animal? They had to confirm it and in the process she killed them. I am really sorry about that." Sapphire said.
'What if Arielle didn't point the gun to your stomach but somewhere else, did you have that trick all over your cloth? Let's leave discussing how you managed to put a freaking blood bag strapped to your stomach while wearing bulletproof under your nightwear at the side. What if she had come at you with a hockey stick?" Claire asked, she glanced at Alexander and finally understood why the man was mad at his beloved wife and didn't find her tricks interesting. It was a dangerous gamble that could have cost her life.
'Then we would have fought it out. You would meet us while we were rolling on the floor and not giving each other the upper hand, why did you think I quickly grabbed her throat as soon as I turned? Of course, it was to put her at a reasonable distance from my head and face. The only place that is safe for her is everywhere around my stomach and chest which I have of course protected prior to her arrival." Sapphire explained but Luci wasn't interested in her talk, she was just mad at her.
'How did you even know that she would be coming in here tonight? You suddenly wanted to come out for a walk."
'I had my men and women following her, they had their eyes on her every minute of the day, they informed me that she was seen outside in her usual get up, with her bag which means that she was ready to end someone's life. You don't need to be a genius to know that that someone is me." Sapphire said. 'It was reckless, truly and I admit that, but I am sick of everyone standing on their tippy toes because a cousin of mine is on the loose."
'I see some sense in it now that everything went the right path. I know that I won't think life went any other way. Let's get this woman to the cops first in order to assure the citizens and decide what would happen to her after we are back." Zayn said, he glanced at Alexander who just nodded to the men to take Arielle out of his property and walked away.
'Alright. I would like to get back to Alexander right now. Have the head of the security team get me the family name of those men, I would love to compensate and apologize to them," Sapphire told one of the men who stood beside them and he nodded.
'We will have a chat later, Sapphire," Luci said. She went to Claire and dragged her along with herself.

‘Arielle Conrad, the main suspect that was behind the massacre of a group of women and other people, had been arrested by the cops and is being interrogated at the prosecutor office, the cops had seen to it that she would not be able to get away so you can sleep peacefully tonight without any worries.'
Those were the main points in the news that night, the prosecution office couldn't wait to share the news to the media who gobbled it up, praising the prosecution office for getting her quick after bashing them just three days ago for being as fast as turtle in nailing down the woman, she would be led to the court as soon as possible.
Sapphire switched from channel to channel out of boredom, every one of them was talking about the same thing anyway, Alexander had gone to take his bath and he had barred Sapphire from following him when she willingly suggested it herself since he was still mad at her.
She hopes these small things and the headache that comes with overseeing a big company are the only things she would worry about from now on.
Alexander came out dressed in a bathrobe, he didn't spare her a glance as he changed into his nightwear. He went to lie on the bed beside him and turned to sleep. She moved closer to her, wrapped her hands around his waist, and placed her head on his back but he didn't budge.
'I am sorry Alexander, I told you before I went ahead and did that right? Didn't I?" Sapphire said. 'I had to do that and you know it. See, I am okay, nothing is wrong with me, she didn't killed me and I am not on my way to the underworld, I am _" She said but was cut off when he turned and hugged her to himself, he placed her face on his chest, breathe in a whiff of her hair before he started running his hand through it, soothingly.
'Sleep, Sapphire. It is late_"

'I know, Sapphire. You would not die on me but I just couldn't control that feeling for a second, you could say that I was nervous. I was the one that provided everything you used so it meant that I was absolutely alright with it or else I would have locked you in the house. I am not mad at you, so sleep." He told her and she was about to reply but shut up when he kissed her on the lips and forehead. 'Now go to sleep, we have a long day tomorrow."
She nodded with a smile and just as they prepared to relax in each other's embrace, Alexander's phone rang. Sapphire wondered why on earth Nate was calling so late at night when she saw the I.d.
'Mr. Alexander, I am sorry for calling you so late at night but I felt like I needed to inform you as soon as possible. Mr. Oliver is awake." He informed him and Sapphire looked at him surprised.
