I pushed my way into the room and as I did my legs felt weak and unsteady. The feeling became stronger and stronger, and eventually I could not keep my balance anymore. Because of that, I fell onto the floor.
'Adams!" The sound of that name rang out clearly in my mind while resonating with a tone that was both sharp and filled with worry. But I realized it was just a voice echoing in my head. I let out a groan while feeling the coldness of the floor beneath me as I pressed myself against it for support.
My surroundings felt strange. Then, as suddenly as the pain had started, it disappeared completely while cutting away from me like a sharp knife slicing through something.
I blinked my eyes several times, trying to absorb the dim light in the room. As I did this, a wave of memories from the night flooded my mind. I thought about Lilith and the special bond we had formed together.

Ted's enthusiasm and excitement filled the air and I felt a thrilling and youthful energy flowing through my thoughts and emotions.
I took my time getting up on my paws while feeling the power and strength in my legs as I carefully moved closer to the window. Outside, the night was calling to me—it seemed like a huge mysterious space that was just waiting for me to go out and explore.
I took a deep breath while allowing myself to really notice all the different smells around me.
I could smell the palace where I lived, the fresh scent of the forest nearby, the livestock that was around and even the smell of the earth right below me. All of these scents mixed together created a rich experience that I was eager to soak in. My senses had doubled over...!
'Come on, let's go!" Ted said joyfully while filled with excitement.
I didn't need anyone to tell me to go. I was ready to jump into action. Without hesitating, I sprang out of the window and when I hit the ground below, it was a gentle landing that made a quiet sound.
The excitement that I felt was overwhelming and made my heart race. I took off running across the property, moving so quickly that it felt like I was almost flying.
Meanwhile, the guards were completely unaware of what was happening. They went about their normal routines like everything was perfectly in place, and nothing had gone wrong at all.
For sixty seconds, I had a feeling of real freedom—absolutely away from the heavy weights of an Alpha king and all the responsibilities that come with it.

Without giving it a second thought, I jumped off the edge of the last roof and plunged straight into the awaiting arms of the nearby forest. Right now, all of my instincts are sharper and every bit of my senses more alive than ever before.
I skillfully avoided the trees that stood in my path, moving with an agility that seemed almost magical. I danced through the thick bushes and low branches while moving with a grace that I had never experienced before.
I felt just like a shadow gliding effortlessly through the darkness of the forest, as if I could keep running like this for all eternity.
