Elena's POV
One Year Later.
The sun was setting over the cliffs of Noah's estate, painting the Atlantic Ocean in shades of gold and violet.

A white silk aisle stretched across the emerald lawn, leading to an altar made of driftwood and white roses. It was the wedding the world had been waiting for, the "Wedding of the Century" according to the tabloids. But to me, it was just a promise made in front of the people who mattered.
I stood in the foyer of the mansion, looking at myself in the full-length mirror.
My dress was a masterpiece of French lace and silk, designed to catch the light with every movement. It was regal, elegant, and unapologetically beautiful. Around my neck was a simple sapphire pendant, Noah's wedding gift.
A soft gurgle came from the bassinet near the window. Leo, now a sturdy one-year-old in a tiny tuxedo, was busy trying to eat his own bowtie.
"You look breathtaking, Dr. Vance."
I turned. Noah stood in the doorway, looking devastating in a midnight blue tuxedo. He walked over, picking up our son and settling him on his hip. Leo immediately started pulling on Noah's ear, making him laugh.

"I thought the groom wasn't supposed to see the bride before the ceremony," I teased, adjusting Noah's collar.
"I'm a billionaire, Elena. I make my own rules," Noah smirked, but his eyes were soft as he looked at me. "Besides, I couldn't wait another minute to make you mine legally. I've been your husband in my heart since the day I met you on that tarmac."
We walked out onto the lawn together.
As the music started, a soaring, orchestral piece, the guests rose. I saw my colleagues from the Titans, the friends I had made in Boston, and the people who had stood by me during the storm.

We exchanged vows under the vast, open sky.
"I promise to be your partner in every war and your sanctuary in every peace," Noah said, his voice echoing over the waves. "I promise to love you not for what you can do for me, but for the incredible woman you are."
"I promise to never hide my light again," I replied, my eyes locked on his. "And to build a world with you where our love is the only compass we need."
When he kissed me, the world erupted in cheers. Thousands of white flower petals were released into the air, swirling around us like a summer blizzard, but this time, there was no cold. Only warmth.
Later that night, as the party continued in the ballroom below, Noah and I slipped out onto the balcony. The moon was full, casting a silver path across the water.
"Did you ever think we'd get here?" Noah asked, pulling me back against his chest.
"No," I admitted, leaning my head against his shoulder. "I thought my story was over on Route 9. I thought I was just a supporting character in someone else's tragedy."
"You were always the lead, Elena," Noah whispered, his arms wrapping around me and my growing belly, we had recently found out Leo was going to be a big brother. "The world just had to catch up to you."
I looked out at the ocean, at the dark, powerful waves that had seen so much history. I thought of the girl in the blue scarf, the doctor with the broken arm, and the wife with the fake marriage. They were all parts of me, but they were no longer the definition of me.
I was Elena Blackwood. I was a mother, a healer, and a beloved wife.
I had found my second chance. And this time, I was going to hold on to it forever.
