I gritted my teeth and said, “You were the one who left me to die first!”
From the car accident until now, if he had shown me the slightest bit of warmth, I wouldn’t have been so ruthless!
Done arguing,I blocked him and his family.

Sophie was prosecuted, sentenced to seven years, ordered to pay me a million.
After the trial,I confronted her:”Fun,using a crash to win favor,Sophie?”
She stared at me viciously. “It’s just that you were lucky enough to survive and happened to install a hidden camera. Otherwise, you would have lost!”
I smiled. “Is that so? But it’s no use for you to get the upper hand by chance. We’re divorcing—he gets nothing. If I’d died,my estate goes to charity. You’d get zilch!”
Hearing this, she was angry and regretful, and her eyes were red.
“Jenna, you scheming bitch! You deserve to die!”

She lunged,as if I’d stolen her fortune.
But before she could touch me, she was held down by the bailiff.
I smiled and walked towards the exit.
A month later, outside the courthouse,I saw Lucas again.

His laboratory’s funds had been cut off and he hadn’t found a new sponsor. His family was sued by my company and had to compensate nearly four million yuan. His mistress had been sent to prison... All these setbacks had made him grow several white hairs.
He blocked my way, his eyes wide with anger. “Are you satisfied now?”
I could face him calmly, “Your request for me to leave the house with nothing is too excessive. I won’t agree! Even if your parents left you a huge inheritance, my family and I helped you safeguard that property. Over the years, I worked hard with you... You should at least give me one-third of the property!” He raged:”Net-zero divorce is absurd! Your parents left you wealth, but my family guarded it,and I built it with you.I deserve a third!”
I had few relatives in my family, and they didn’t intend to seize my inheritance. Where did the claim of safeguarding the inheritance come from?
As for his so-called working hard with me... Heh, his family and he were more like leeches sucking my blood.
They didn’t earn;spending less would’ve been a favor!
He was shameless, and reasoning was futile.
I said coldly, “We signed a property certificate before marriage, and we also signed a contract that you would leave the house with nothing if you committed adultery. I have the videos of you kissing and having a relationship with Sophie, as well as the chat records of your flirting and crossing the line. You should know very well that you won’t get any benefits in the property division.”
“If you’re sensible, sign the divorce agreement now. I won’t hold you accountable for your adultery, and you can stay as an associate professor at the school. I won’t take back the house and car I gave to your family before. But if you push me,I’ll leave you with nothing!”
When I loved Lucas,he and his family could do anything.
Now,unloved,they weren’t worth a glance.
He’d never seen me so firm, his face ashen.
I walked past him and bumped into him. “A good dog doesn’t block the way.”
Descending the steps to my car,he chased, glaring:”Jenna, if you treat me like this, you’ll regret it! I’ll show you that even without you, I can still be a glorious Professor Lu! Without you getting in the way, I’ll live a better life than before!”
I sneered at this. “Don’t act like a lapdog. Just come back and beg me to take you in.”
I scoffed:”Don’t come crawling back like a mutt.”
“You—”
Ignoring his curses,I drove off, leaving him in exhaust.
He signed the divorce agreement that day, sent to my lawyer.
Wendy invited me to dinner, displeased:”Letting Lucas and his family off so easy?Too kind!”
I ate ice cream: “Many people in the circle know that they helped me.If I drive them to the wall, it will hurt Brooks’reputation.Blocking all exits risks mutual destruction.Better let them tear each other apart.”
They should place their hatred on each other instead of me.
