Sapphire grinned broadly, all her teeth on display and adjusted the bug round glass she used, while adjusting her hair that was covering her eyes and putting it behind her ears.
She was wearing a big faded jean with a white top that looked like an obvious favorite. She wore a black jacket and carried a cross bag across her chest, dividing her front into two and was wearing a white sneakers.
'Uhm….. welcome to the company, as you can see SJAY is not a super popular company with unlimited number of people, but it is quite well known among the people and we would have a breakthrough soon, so you should get ready for intense thinking when the time comes," A woman who was in a formal suit said, and Sapphire nodded, still smiling like a goofball. 'I am Candy,"
'Nice to meet you, I hope we get along well," Sapphire responded, nodding her head.
'I am—" A woman who was in a dress said, but was cut off by the sound of the door opening and a woman coming towards them. Sapphire saw that it was Belle Thompson, the woman who introduced her to Oliver at the party.
She paused to stare at Sapphire from head to toe when she saw how she was dressed.
'Wow, Sapphire, you look so different from the woman I saw at the party," she said gesturing to her clothes and Sapphire chuckled.
'Morning Belle, this is the real way I am, I really hate the way I dressed the other day, besides I borrowed that dress from a store," She said, laughing. 'I changed out of the dress when the party was almost over," she added, trying to find out if Belle was present for the entirety of the party.
'Oh, did you?" She asked in surprise.
'Yes, I did, the dress was so uncomfortable,"
'I guess that I wasn't there to see that because I left the party as soon as I introduced you as the department manager to Mr Gray,"
'Department manager? I thought she was the new strategic planning manager?" Candy asked, turning from Sapphire to Belle.
'Yeah, I think that Belle mixed it up," Sapphire said, itching her forehead and Belle nodded.
'I guess that I mixed it up, I was flustered in the presence of Mr Gray," Belle replied with an embarrassed smile.
'Mr Gray?"
'Yeah, the investor I introduced you to at the party, told you that he comes here often," Belle told her, and Sapphire nodded.
'He is really the best person I have seen, he checks on us so often," A woman who was standing beside Candy said, with a dreamy look on her face.
'Step up your fantasy, do you want to be a temple dog? Oliver Gray is a rich man and if you have heard of him haven't you heard of the Grays too?" A man beside her said, hitting the woman's head with a file. 'I am Craig by the way," he said to Sapphire, whilst walking to his desk.
‘Was it only the people at the top who did the investigation that knew that Oliver is the owner of SJAY? Did he keep it hidden? Then that's a really good idea from him, he knew that he would have some enemies who wouldn't want to support it.' Sapphire thought. ‘Then I would have to step up my game,' Sapphire thought.
'Sapphire, Sapphire!" She heard her name being called and she turned to them.
'Were you reminiscing on the man's face?" Belle asked with a wink and Sapphire almost gagged.
'No, my friend makes good food and she told me to tell her what I want to eat tonight, so I am thinking about that, her food is so nice," she said, raising her hands to do thumbs up. 'sorry for spacing out," she said with a small laugh and they stared at her in surprise.
'You are really weird, I am Katie," The third lady said, before walking to her desk.
‘Weird or not, I just want you to stop talking about that asshole, it makes my guts feel funny' she thought.
'So the real reason why I came here is because I want to inform you that the company is going to launch a cosmetic program, as the strategic management team, you have to know about this ahead of others. You have a meeting with the director tomorrow morning, the model would be present and her name is Nita,"
'Oh my, it is a shame that the team leader and assistant get to go or I would really love to have a conversation with her," Katie groaned.
'Nita is known for modeling for only top, big and super popular companies, how did our company bag a contract with her, the last time we made an attempt, it was shut down by her manager," Craig said and they all nodded, lost in wonder.
‘I guess that old friends are working together again, Venita Conrad must have accepted this because she already knew that Oliver is the owner of SJAY, maybe Oliver asked her for help this time.
I wonder what she wants this time, she collected a hundred million dollars after she worked with Oliver against me three years ago,' Sapphire said and exhaled heavily.
‘And here I thought that I would be able to work at the company as a Finley, but I guess that it is nice though, I get the chance to gather all those I need to question in a single place, good. I can help Hanna subtly from here and not make her face everything alone,' she thought nodding.
'I would take you to your desk now and give you the stuff you have to work on," Candy said to her, and she nodded. She looked around in fake surprise before turning to Candy.
'When did Belle leave?"
'Were you sleeping with your eyes wide open? She left when you were standing right here,"
Now she has to look for Rina Nick and find all information about her, shaping their meeting that it appears like just a coincidence to the woman.
She sat on the chair and wondered if Hanna have arrived in New York, her phone rang and she smiled when she saw who it was.
'Hello, Hannah,"
'Hi Sapphire, I arrived in New York yesterday and I am at her company right now, I have been accepted as a trainee!" She announced and Sapphire smirked evilly.
