Chapter 26 Can't Trust Anyone

Several minutes have passed. I have tried and tried many times, but I still haven't produced the magical power of the water element. I sat pensively, watching the water bottles become smaller and smaller, and my stomach continued to sound hungry.

"Damn it! If only I could master magical powers faster. I wouldn't be starving and stranded like this even if I had never been brought here. Maybe I could sleep soundly now and not feel hungry. I could even sell goods well without worrying about not having money to buy groceries," I grumbled in frustration.

Before Moon's arrival, someone had been there in a quiet corner of the library room. Secretly, he searched for the book of the emperor's dark curse, which could remove the curse within him. He has tried to prevent time from running backward within him and/or remove the curse within him with the help of the magic books he has found. However, only a few books have been able to guide him in removing the curse within him.

"Damn it! Why can't anyone help me? I couldn't have ended up like this? Why is God so unfair to me? I can't possibly let those evil people hurt my mother and Lily's feelings. They have to leave my house immediately," said the man irritably.

That man is Alpha Grey. He accidentally walked closer to Moon Rosela. Alpha Gray was surprised to see Moon Rosela in this library room, too. There were many books beside the girl.

"Why are you here? Even if you study all day, it won't change anything. You can only put your friends in danger," said Alpha Gray, looking cynically at Moon Rosela with the books beside him.

Suddenly, I was surprised by the presence of Alpha Gray, which was not far from me.

"Alpha Grey? What are you doing here?" I asked, confused, hoping he wouldn't be suspicious of me.

He answered by standing up eerily and looking at me with all his power.

"It's none of your business! This is a place and one of the facilities that Undermoon provides. So why can't I come here? I hope you also immediately stay away from Lily. Even if you discover your powers someday, you won't be able to help or protect Lily. So, "Don't cause further problems," said Alpha Gray with firmness as if giving a severe warning.

"If that's what you want, I'll do it. But do you understand Lily's feelings right now? If something bad happens to Lily, it's your fault, not mine. You'd better take good care of yourself. The emperor's dark curse is within. It's like it's going to eat you alive. Why would a strong person like you let a curse eat itself like a fool!" I said, full of frustration and disappointment.

Suddenly, Alpha Gray was surprised, "Huh, you think I will believe you? "There's no curse in me!" He said, smiling, trying to hide the truth.

"Are you sure there's nothing? Lily must be sorrowful to have a cowardly friend like you. "If Lily finds out about this, she will be unfortunate and devastated because she has a lying friend," I warned.

"I didn't lie at all!" Alpha Gray argued.

"How can you say if you are not lying? I clearly see the curse within you. You can't lie to me," I said, pointing at Alpha Gray irritably.

A pale face of fear suddenly enveloped Alpha Grey. He couldn't hide the truth about himself. He looked at the girl regretfully, but his face wasn't like that.

"How can you see that? You don't even have any magical powers. So don't fool me," said Alpha Gray, suspecting that the girl was just bragging.

"But I can feel your dark energy, Alpha Grey. "That evil power controlled you and seemed to want to eat your soul," I said, telling him what I saw from him. "I know you hid the truth so Lily wouldn't feel sad after you left. Nobody around you knows about it, but maybe Professor Aria Star knows. Hiding all that will only put you in danger. "All of Professor Aria Star's current research has not found a cure to remove the curse," I added.

Alpha Gray was silent momentarily, taken aback by the girl's assertiveness. He never thought that someone without magical powers could feel the existence of the dark energy and the dark curse of the emperor within him.

"Never mind, Alpha Grey. "Just admit that what I said is the truth," I said again. "I will try to find a healing spell to remove the curse."

"Hah, why are you acting like that? Do you think that's how I'll thank you? "I don't want any help from you at all," said Gray with a cynical expression.

I tried to be calm and not get emotional at this stubborn man.

"I never thought I would receive thanks from you. I'm doing this for Lily. She will definitely be unfortunate if you leave her. "If one day Lily finds out about your death, she will probably blame herself or me or even Professor Aria Star," I said, explaining my goals and my actions only for Lily, my best friend.

"Then don't ever tell Lily anything you know about me. "That way, she will be fine," said Alpha Gray, smiling. "Just do whatever you want, but keep yourself away from Lily!."

The stubborn man became increasingly selfish until I didn't want to argue with him anymore. He's really annoying.

"I don't know what else to say to you, Alpha Grey. You are really stubborn and selfish. You really deserve such condemnation from your own attitude. "But Lily doesn't deserve to suffer such a sad ending," I growled.

"Whatever you say, stay away from Lily!" said Alpha Gray, immediately leaving me and this library room.

Now I'm alone in this room, and my focus on studying has disappeared after arguing with Alpha Grey. I'm actually really annoyed now.

"Oh Lord! Why in this world are there men as selfish as he? He couldn't think of what Lily was feeling at all. "Lily will be sorrowful after losing that man, her good friend," I muttered while trying to calm my irritation.
