When Natalia saw that familiar face, her mouth fell open in shock as she blurted, "Nadine!"
The woman standing beside Irving was none other than Natalia's older sister, Nadine Stone.
"I rammed into Natalia's car. Even if she didn't die, she'd be crippled for life. Don't worry. Nothing will trace back to me. And even if it does, someone else will take the fall. After all, the car I was driving belonged to Lucian. It was a gift from Mavis," Irving said smugly in the video.
With trembling fingers, Natalia opened the email she had received a few days earlier. The video inside showed the scene of the car accident clearly. Irving's face was unmistakably captured on camera.
After Irving returned to the country, Nadine had been kicked out of the Stone family because she had done something unforgivable in the eyes of the head of the family.
Because of that, Irving immediately changed his stance and tried to get close to Natalia.
Four pairs of furious eyes locked onto Irving at the same time. His face went deathly pale as he shook his head desperately.
He pleaded, "Please believe me! The videos have to be fake. It's all Lucian's doing! He's trying to drive a wedge between us. How could I ever hurt you, Nat?"
Just as he was about to continue arguing, a disheveled woman suddenly appeared behind him.
She sneered, "Irving, that's not what you said to me back then. Natalia and Kimberly, I may hate you, but I can testify that everything in those videos is true."
With Nadine's testimony, the truth was finally laid bare. All the injustices I had suffered were, at last, washed away.
This was the last day of the two-week deadline of which I was set to be erased.
Thinking of how I would never again see my family and friends from the other world, tears streamed uncontrollably down my face.
When blood suddenly poured from my mouth, Natalia and the other three rushed over and held me in panic.
"Luc, we'll take you to the hospital right now! You're going to be alright!"
Just as I gently pushed them away and calmly prepared to face death, several familiar figures came running toward me.
It was my mother, my sister, and my friend from my original world.
"Lucian, your targets of affection have appeared. Would you like to restart the mission?"
"Yes…" I forced that word out with the last of my strength.
In the next instant, my vision cleared, and all the pain vanished from my body.
"Congratulations, Lucian! Three targets of affection have reached 100 out of 100 affection points. Preparing to return you to the original world."
"Luc, wake up, please! My affection for you has reached 100 points. Why isn't it working?"
"Luc, if once isn't enough, then I'll do it a second time! Even if it costs me my life, I'll bring you back!"
"Luc, we promised to be best friends for life. How could you go back on your word?"
I struggled to open my eyes when I heard the familiar voices. "Mom, Eve, Claudia... I'm home."
One month after returning home, my body fully recovered.

Because of my departure, everything I had given her was stripped away. Mavis soon got into another car accident. But this time, there was no one to shield her. She could only endure the agony of ruptured organs on her own.
The crash left her in constant pain. It was so unbearable that she wished for death.
