I was baffled.
The whole class turned to stare at me.
Turning my head,I caught Mia's triumphant smirk.

"Saraha,we all feel for your parents, but it's in the past. Why use it against her?"
Classmates close to Mia attacked me first.
Mia pretended to defend me.
"No,don't blame my sister.I did cause Mom and Dad's deaths..."
"That day,I saw an old lady with kids by the road and told Dad to hit the brake. That's why the car flipped..."
"Sis,I know I was wrong, but I don't regret it.I'd do it again if time rewinds..."

Her tearful act moved the class.
"Mia,don't cry.You're too kind—it's not your fault!"
"Your sister's wrong. It was an accident—what right does she have to blame you?"
"You might've saved families.Your parents would be proud of you!"

Everyone stuck up for Mia,some girls crying with her.
My disgust peaked.
Proud?
Mom and Dad would've disowned her.
The crash happened because Mia,annoyed by traffic, made Dad take the shortcut in the mountains.
Rainy, with the road winding, the car skidded, flipped, and crashed off a cliff.
Surviving,I wept over their remains.Mia,repulsed by blood, just sat dazed.
A lifetime ago,I never blamed her!
"Mia,how dare you say that!"
Fury surged.I stood up,confronting her.
She cried even harder, covering her face.
"Sis,I'm sorry.If you're mad,hit me..."
Hit?
One hit wouldn't suffice!
Our parents weren't just my soft spot—they were my untouchable bottom line. She didn't care, but it was too much even for her to used them against me?
Outrageous.
But as I stepped forward, some boys pinned me,thinking they were doing the right thing.
"Sarah,don't go too far!"
"Being older doesn't mean you can bully her.I know this is family business, but I'm stepping in!"
I tried explaining, but the class glared at me with resentment.
Mia sobbed,"Don't trouble my sister!I understand her,really!"
Her tears silenced me.
The boys,worked up,shoved me to my desk,warning,
"Bully Mia again, and we won't let you get away so easily!"
The teacher's arrival saved me,or they'd have torn me apart.
After school,Mia met me on the rooftop.
Her eyes were still swollen, but her tone was entirely different.
"Sis,see? If I don't care about the fact that we’re sisters after all,I can ruin you easily."
"Tell me,what's Etahn’s type?If not,I don't mind..."
Before she finished,I slapped her.
"You..."
"You what?"
I'd held back too long.
"I said I don't know.Are you deaf?"
"Sisters?Mia,from today,we're done."
"I don't know Ethan's type,but I know he'll never like you.Got it?"
She froze.
I walked away.
Her resentful gaze showed she wasn't done with me yet.
I knew she didn't believe me.
But about Ethan...
Knowing too much would make her wish she were dead.
