"Forgive my bluntness, Miss Grant, but this plan is reckless! Our company has thrived in traditional industries for decades!"
Amy sat calmly at the head of the table, tapping her fingers lightly. "With all due respect, Mr. Henderson, the 'foundation' you mention has seen profits decline fifteen percent over three years and nearly got us acquired hostilely. I respect history, but I'm more concerned with survival." She turned from the stunned veteran to a young woman at the table's end. "Sarah, please present your team's five-year forecast for the new energy market."
With Shane's behind-the-scenes support and her own iron resolve, the old guard was systematically removed, replaced by capable, hungry young managers in key positions. Grant Group—the sleeping lion—finally roared to life.
She personally established the "Women's Growth Foundation," using the company's resources to help girls who, like her former self, faced adversity but refused to surrender.
At the foundation's launch, a reporter asked: "Ms. Grant, what inspired you to establish this foundation?"
Amy faced the cameras with calm poise: "Because I was once told 'you're not worthy' and 'you don't have a chance.' But I was fortunate to meet people who believed in me. I created this foundation to tell girls they don't need to rely on luck. They can count on a system that believes in them and invests in their potential. This isn't charity—it's investing in our world's future."
A year later, Amy finally accepted Shane fully, and their grand wedding came just before the World Forum, forcing her to juggle both events simultaneously.
Shane often joked to friends that Amy's schedule was more packed than his military one—she'd even brought her assistant to handle urgent business while trying on wedding dresses.
Shane had protested this workaholic tendency many times, but each complaint was silenced by Amy's kiss. He was helpless—what could he do when he was so completely in love?
At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Amy—the youngest and only female entrepreneur representative—delivered a keynote speech. Standing in the global spotlight, she articulated her vision for business evolution and female leadership in flawless English.
Her speech earned standing ovations. Media dubbed her "the new generation's business queen" and "the game-changing female leader."
Through the adoring crowd, Amy immediately spotted the man waiting at the stage's edge. Shane had stood there throughout, his gaze fixed solely on her with tender pride, as if she were his entire universe.
"They finally see what I've always seen," he whispered with pride as she reached him, his words for her alone.
Amy smiled and reached for his hand, their fingers intertwining naturally.
"Let's go home, Mr. Evans-Grant," she said softly.
