'I just want to talk," he told her and she rolled her eyes in annoyance.
'Didn't my behavior make it clear enough that I don't want to have anything to do including just talking," Claire replied.
'Is that why you are avoiding me?"
'I thought I made it so obvious to you."
'I just want to apologize to you for being a jerk,"
'And I am telling you that I don't want to listen to it, is it that hard to understand? I am dumb and an idiot who could be used and discarded anytime, I stopped useful and you have a good relationship with Sapphire now, everyone is happy, so kindly fuck off," she told him and tried to walk away but she stopped him by grabbing her hand.
'You aren't dumb or an idiot, I am just a douche who used your kindness against you," he replied and she arched a brow at him.
'So? What should I do with all that speech?"
'..."
'I thought so too," she said and yanked her hand from his and started walking away but he pulled her back making her hit her back on his chest. 'What the hell?" She snapped at him.
'Lower your voice," he hushed her and she scoffed before trying to break free of his hold but he only held on tighter.
'Let me go."
'Do you have any idea what Heather and Jessica are doing here?" He asked and she stilled, she turned her head to look at the direction he was staring at and saw both Heather and Jessica standing there with one of the executives of the company, they all had serious expressions on their faces.
'I don't know, do you?" Claire asked and he shook his head.
'I guess that we would have to find out, Sapphire told me that we should be on the lookout for them. I am surprised that the idiot was on her feet again as soon as she survived that fall."
'They are walking away, let's follow them right now," Matthew said and Claire nodded before they started trailing after them as quietly as possible.
'Part of Felix's slush fund is kept in this place, the boss ordered us to confirm it, the old geezer is the one that told her about it since he wanted to have a good relationship with her," Jessica said and Heather scoffed.
'That old idiot is really stupid enough to believe that the boss would want something to do with him and would help him?" Heather replied.
'Felix is trying to get in the same team as them?" Claire whispered and Matthew shook his head.
'No, I doubt that. It seems like he is trying to partner up with them. Now I am even more curious about who the hell that boss of theirs is."
'Who in the Conrad family is smart? All of them are dumb asses. There's Felix who is more greedy than life itself and there is also Venita who walked straight to her death, could anyone be really that dumb?" Jessica said and Claire and Matthew exchanged glances once again.
'Do you think that she would be dead now? The boss had knocked her out and dragged her to the headquarters.
'Since we have confirmed that he indeed does have some illegal nonsense here. Can we get back home? I need to see Amy," Jessica said.
'Boss first, Amy later. She said that we should report back to her as soon as possible." Heather told her and they walked out of the gallery.
'Who the hell comes here anyways?" They heard Jessica's fading voice.
'Do you think that we should follow them?" Claire asked but Matthew shook his head in disagreement.
'We shouldn't do that. We don't know what we are going to face at their headquarters."
'We don't have to follow them. It would be just enough if we managed to sight the building and know where it is, I have a feeling in my guts that we would need that." Claire insisted and Matthew nodded before they rushed to Matthew's car.
'Just so you know. I am still not on talking terms with you, I am only doing this because it is absolutely necessary." Claire said and Matthew stared at her for a bit before he nodded in understanding and they started tailing Heather's car.

Venita opened her eyes briefly and shut her eyes quickly when the bright light entered her eyes, she groaned in pain and opened her eyes before she raised herself up to sit.
She looked around the quiet white room and saw no one else, she sat and stared at the many equipments that was in the room, she tried to stand up and noticed that her hands were tied with a long chain that was connected to the floor as she as her leg, it was just free enough for her to be able to move a bit here and there.
The door opened and she raised her head to see two of the women she saw at the meeting place, they looked less tense now that they were at their headquarters.
'It was about time you wake up sleeping beauty." One of them said Venita merely scoffed at them before resuming staring at the wall.
'Inform boss that she is awake." One told the other and Venita couldn't really tell who it was because she refused to look at them.
She heard the door open and close and they were left in silence, none of the women let out any sound and Venita followed the sound of the wristwatch in her head.
Tick. Tick. Tick.
After what seemed like an entirety, the door opened again but Venita still couldn't be bothered.
'Are you enjoying your stay over here?" She heard and raised her head to look at the woman in front of her, she was still using the nose mask but had switched the hat to a face cap.
'That's hardly any way to treat one of your girls," Venita said mimicking the words she said to her the previous day.
'Would I still consider you as one of my girls after you told me to fuck off, after you brought that stupid aunt of yours after I insisted over and over again that you are to show up alone. You can't possibly be that stupid right?"
'I wanted to trust your words," she replied and the woman scoffed.
'Bullshits," she replied and went to sit on a chair that was opposite her.
Of course, it was bullshit. She didn't even trust herself; she wouldn't trust some bitch's words. She is putting herself out like this because she is certain that Aunt Brielle and Sapphire would be able to catch this person. She had a fair suspicion in her mind but she didn't want to jump to conclusions.
This is her own punishment for putting her own family out because of money, she got a hundred million dollars that sent her whole existence into perjury. She is tired of everything and just wants to go and meet her parents on the other side, life is just not worth living anymore.
If she stayed here,she would probably be sent to prison by her aunt for the cause of her grandmother's death, not to talk of the guilt that would swallow her whole once she got into prison, the guilt was already eating her up.
Nothing could bring her peace of mind, yet, she couldn't muster up the courage to kill herself and she would never be able to, it is just not right. Her best bet is to die by someone else's hand.
Her best bet is this woman who they were all just pawns in her big game of chess, she controls everything they do and make them think they are in charge while sinking back into the shadows and making no one suspect her, she just stand on the sidelines and watch everything with a small smirk on her face.
Her death would bring something useful out, so why not?
The woman's phone rang as soon as she placed her ass on the chair, she removed it from her pocket and placed it on her ears.
'Yes, Felix," she said arrogantly and Venita quickly stared at her when she mentioned her wicked uncle's name. 'The girls confirmed that your words were indeed true. You have quite a fortune stacked there."
Venita was sure that it was illegally earned funds.
'Was I supposed to call you first? I figured you would call me when you are ready. Let's meet tomorrow,I will send you the date and time." She said and disconnected the call with the before she turned to Venita.
'Ah~ That's your dear uncle right there." She said,
'You are going to kill me, aren't you?"
'I like straight forward people." She replied with a chuckle before she stared at her in the eyes. 'Yes, Venita. The moment you entered that place, you were already a dead woman."
'Do this dead woman a favor and let her see who the hell had been torturing her emotionally all this while. I would like to see the real mastermind behind Sapphire downfall, Heather's and Miranda's stunt, Oliver death through Sebastian and Sheila's betrayal because you are the one that dragged that bitch back, she was happy with staying where she was, Grandmother's death and many other things that I don't want to mention." She said and the woman laughed tilting her head to the side.
'I guess I could do that favor to you," The woman said and removed the face cap, her eyes crinkled in amusement.
She reached for her mouth and removed the mask, she shook her head and her hair flew in every direction before she used her hand to arrange the hair and put it back, she turned to stare at Venita with a smile on her face and the other woman felt her eyes widen in disbelief and shock.

'Yours truly." Arielle with a small unhinged evil smirk.
