Aunt Brielle also came to her and for the first time in years, they sat together and talked like adults, she said that she is sorry for abandoning Sapphire and spreading news like that.
Sapphire really wasn't bothered by that, the news she spread were all real, though it was a bit harsh for her to talk about it throughout high society like that.
She also apologized for not listening to her when she warned her, she had been immature about it and insulted her like there is not going to be another day, that wasn't good either.
A thought occurred to her and she informed Aunt Brielle about her grandmother's murder, she wanted him to spread the news as far as wide as she can. It would put the murderer in a state of unrest.
Aunt Brielle also told her that she would make sure to find some things out about Oliver for them, she had a friendly relationship with the man, because they both hated Marylynne and Melissa a lot.
Mike texted Sapphire and asked him to meet up so she asked him to stop at a nearby café in order to talk which he agreed.
Twenty minutes later, she was sitting in the café, a cup of tea in front of her and she was looking out of the window.
'Hi Sapphire," Mike said and sat in front of her with a small smile, Sapphire only nodded.
She was still not comfortable enough around the man to offer him smiles like they are cookies, even though she is helping him now what he did to her still remains, no amount of good things he does would make her forget all the bad things he had done.
She might have forgiven him but to forget would be a big task, the first thing that pops up in her mind anytime he sees her is the kind of danger he is capable of causing.
'How was your day?" He asked and she shrugged.
'It has been productive so far. Yours?"
'Same old boring thing that I go through every damn day," He replied.
'So have you been able to talk with the detective concerning what I told you?" She asked and he nodded.
'Yes, that day would be Friday, she is absolutely up to nothing on that day, she kept going on and on about how she would spend that day sleeping her head off, she would not even eat," He answered.
'You guys have become quite close," Sapphire observed.
'We have always been friends but that high social status is the barrier between us. I guess that disappeared now that she is in prison, she told me that she feels free yet caged when in prison and she wanted to take a healthy break."
'You make it sound as if she is pleased that she is behind bars," Sapphire said with an eye roll.
'You could say that she is pleased in a way, she said that it was exactly what she needed. She also said that was the best gift Oliver had ever given to her." he added.
'I don't believe that," she said and he shrugged.
'You don't need to believe it, honestly you won't understand or you might. But it is at these low moments that you are forced into that you realize that you might have been going about everything you've been doing wrong. It is not necessarily good that you turn good at that time but you would most definitely have mind clarity with yourself.
I realized mine after your husband played that video at the award party and showed the darkest side I tried to keep to the public. I lost my license right there and then, making me become jobless and hiding myself at home, maybe that's why I can relate to Heather's case better." He said sipping on his coffee too while staring out at the busy street with eyes clouded with thought.
Sapphire realized that he was right, she also realized that she could agree with herself that she wasn't the best of people when she left New York. She had some time to herself and she could say that she emerged better with the help of her kids and friends.
'Realizing your mistake doesn't necessarily make you good and kind but it makes you so much better. If I become kind and good, I won't be here planning a million ways to ruin Oliver," he said with a small chuckle and Sapphire nodded.
'So what are we going to do next? I don't even get why you are asking for Heather's free day," He said after a prolonged silence.
'Oliver is planning to kill her, Sebastian is helping along in his plan. I dare say that he is the one orchestrating it.
'Ah~ Sebastian," Mike said, rubbing his chin. 'Now that's a pretty hard nut to crack, we are going to have a lot of challenges on our hands if he is truly the one giving our buddy advice this time, he would give us a damn good run for our money, he is the worst jerk of all assholes."
'I can't argue with you about that," Sapphire agreed. 'I don't have any idea on what he is planning to do, I might get updates and leads but nothing through in particular, we just have to be agile on Friday and bring Heather's parent into the picture, we must make them visit her impromptu on that day," Sapphire said and he raise a brow at her in confusion.
'Just how would you get them to do that? The Smiths are known to be the worst chicken to ever exist, they would flee when they know that the plan involves having to deal with Oliver, even if it would kill their daughter. They never asked to be involved with the worst of all scums and from all I have heard from her, they had the worst of all relationships that can exist among family members," Mike said and Sapphire chuckled.
'They can't outdo the relationship in the Conrad's family, can they?" she asked.
'Your family is on a whole different level, it must be a nightmare to be related to them," Mike groused with a foul look on his face which made Sapphire chuckle.
'If all of them can cooperate in order to get a common goal, who are the Smiths?" She asked and Mike just stared at her with a doubtful expression. 'We have a good card, have Heather mentioned to you that she has a younger sister?" Now he was staring at her with interest in her eyes.
'What the hell are you talking about?" He asked, staring straight into her eyes in order to detect her lies. 'She only has an older sister."

'It is such a pleasure to see you here, Sheila," Oliver said, sitting on the stool beside the woman and she turned to glare at him, she gave him a once over before turning to her tequila.
'It is not a pleasure to see you, Oliver." She replied dryly and Oliver groaned.
'Relax girl, chill." He told her but she just continued to stare at him blankly before turning to the bartender for a drink. It was late at night and the bar was just getting lively.
'What do you want?" She asked curtly and he smiled.
'You know it Sheila, I want you to work with me," he said, still maintaining that smile and she rolled her eyes at him.
'You had the audacity to track me down, come here and get cheeky with me? Who the hell do you think that you are?" She asked, her eyes shooting lasers at the man while she still maintained her cool demeanor.
'Let us save the introduction for another day and get straight down to the point. I know that you are not back because you want the kids or something."
'How wrong do you think you are about that?"
'At least if you want them I know that it is for all the wrong reasons, you don't have any sort of motherly love toward those brats and you know it." Oliver said but her hard expression didn't waver. 'You want to use them to get back with Alexander and squander him of his money, live a rich life by the beach and spend a fortune on designers, too bad, my stupid ex-fiancé is there to ruin all of that for you."
'So your point is?"
'Work with me Sheila and we would get Sapphire to her back and Alexander to his knees, even if he would never love you, he would always be there at your beck and call like a fucking servant, that sound as about nice as it could be, doesn't it?" He asked and moved closer to stare straight into her eyes, she remained silent and motionless for a bit.
'The brain behind you came up with pretty good and convincing words for you, unfortunately it won't work with you," Sheila said and stood up, she adjusted her short body fitted dress that enhanced her features and arranged her hair better while Oliver continued staring at her, she started walking away and was almost out of the executive space when she turned and smirked at him. 'Tell Sebastian that I would like us to meet," she added and walked out of the room, leaving Oliver who had a smile on his lips behind with his glass of rum.
