Claire stared at Matthew as he finished wrapping up his talk with the directors and representative of the company, they were so honored to have Matthew in the office with them so they were taking their sweet time to talk to him.

They had been hanging out together almost every day since they both discovered that they were both interested in the same things, he always had something he wanted her to help with, she always had somewhere interesting to go, and when they were doing none of these, they met coincidentally.

He finished wrapping up his business with the men and they said their goodbyes to each other, he turned to her direction and waved, a big smile on his lips when he sighted her standing there.

Claire also smiled and waved her hands at him, watching the man as he started walking towards her, she picked up her steps to meet him halfway.

'Hi, you haven't been waiting for too long right?" he asked and she shook her head.

Matthew is a caring man, he likes to make sure that all those around him are okay and there was hardly any way you wouldn't like him which makes her wonder what on earth he did that made Sapphire treat him like a stranger, she is sure that he could never do no harm to someone.

'No," She said with a shake of head and he nodded at her before they started walking to the exit, his hand thrust deep into his pockets while she had her hand on her handbag.

'I am glad," he told her and she smiled.

'They aren't talking about a big deal are they?" She asked and he raised a brow at her in confusion. 'I mean the directors," She explained and his mouth formed an ‘O' in realization, and just like that she found herself staring at his lips.

'No, it is not a big deal," he said, shaking both his head and hand. 'They are trying to do some exhibition and would like to invite me personally, I also promise to help them as much as I can so," he said and turned to stare at the beautiful art gallery they just left.

'I would probably be coming here more often than I thought," he explained and Claire nodded.

They both stopped suddenly and looked at each other when they realized that none of them brought their car.

'You didn't bring your car too?" They both asked themselves and Claire groaned when she realized that is the situation that they were stuck in.

'What are we going to do now?" She asked and he stared at her in disbelief.

'Take a taxi obviously, don't tell me that you are allergic to taxis," he asked, and she rolled her eyes at him.

'How many times have you come here?" Claire asked with a raised brow and he stared at her with clueless eyes. 'There is no taxi in this place this late at night,"

'What? So what are we going to do?" He asked and she sighed heavily.

'Walk of course,"

'Why should we walk?" He asked, still clueless and Claire's face palmed.

'We have to walk in order to get to a place where we would get a taxi and go home, look at the sky, it is dark and cloudy, and it is going to rain soon. Who are you exactly? Where is the smart Matthew that I know? Did those directors fire your brain with questions?" She asked and he turned to look at her before chuckling.

They started walking together and Matthew asked her about Sapphire when they were in Gisborne and she told him about the fun time they had in that country and how they helped one another when they were low.

'So you all collectively raised Andrea and Andrew?" He asked and Claire nodded her head, a small smile on her lips.

'Pretty much,"

'What about the father of the kids? Any paternal families?"

'Nope. We don't know the father of the kids, no paternal family, she brought her kids to Gisborne, and they were babies then."

'Not at all?" He asked with raised brows and surprised eyes.

'Well… no," she raised her hand to her chin in thought before she stopped and clapped her hands. 'Well there was a time when an old rich woman came, she was not too old, I think that she is in her mid-fifties. She had a teenager with her, a girl.

They came and argued with Sapphire for a long time, the kids were with us that day and we heard them yelling at her to bring the kids to them but she said no, they told her that she can't keep kids out of their father's house or something along that line.

They offered her money too because when we entered, we saw a check of a million dollars on the table when they were gone. Sapphire took the kids with her the next week along with that million dollars and came home late at night, her eyes were all red and itchy because she probably cried.

We never heard of those people since that time and we never brought it up with Sapphire because it is a matter that hurts her, she already had a lot of things that were burdening her and we don't want her to remember that too." Claire explained and Matthew nodded in understanding, a faraway look in his eyes that told that he was deep in thought.

A car pulled up beside them and they turned to look at it, the glass was wind down and they saw Melissa sitting with Arielle, Arielle was the one behind the wheels.

'Matthew, come with us," Melissa said with a smile and Arielle nodded, Matthew stared at them blankly while Claire stared at Matthew.

'It would be faster if you come with us and not with her, I mean, you are going home right? I heard Aunt Brielle asking you to come home and you agreed, don't you try to deny it and go," Arielle said and Matthew rolled his eyes.

'You…"

'Claire is going to be alright, isn't she?" Melissa said, raising a brow at the woman, a sarcastic smile on her lips.

Claire wondered if it was really she is Sapphire's friend that makes Melissa hate her like this or if it is because she is Luci's twin – either way, she doesn't like her and doesn't hesitate to show it.

'You may go with them, it is easier that way and here a cab is here, I would let it drop me off and call Luci to pick me up into the estate, you don't need to worry," She replied with a smile and Matthew raised his brow in doubt, she only nodded and entered the taxi.

She didn't miss the glare that Melissa was giving her, even if she had not seen it, she would have felt it.

'Bye Matt," She said and before the man could reply, Melissa hurried him into the car.

'Just what's her stress?" Claire muttered and the driver glanced at her, she only smiled at him.

Oliver stared at his niece as she bounced towards him, a gummy smile on her lips and the night lights enhancing her features.

'Ollie!" She screamed his name and he smiled, waving at her proudly.

'Hi Angel," He said, scooping her up in her arms when she got close enough.

'Hey Ollie! See this, I got it for you, it was pretty hard to get," She said and he pecked her on the cheek.

'Now where is it? Give it to Ollie," He coaxed and she giggled, hiding her face on his shoulder.

'What do you want to use it for by the way?" She asked, raising her head to stare at his face but he only stretched his hand and she let him drop her to the ground before checking her pocket.

'Here it is!" She announced and placed the comb that h

ad some strands of hair in it on his outstretched hand.

A devious smile appeared on her lips.
