'Did you do this often?" She asked Oliver and he nodded.
'I rarely did it before but I am finding myself interested in it nowadays," he said, nonchalantly and she nodded.
‘no, idiot. You only came because I suggested that we come here, I am sure that your ass is nearly suffocating,' Luci thought.
The man placed the ball on the tee and moved away from their sight, she moved forward, the golf club in her hand.
She swung it and took a tee shot, it was pretty good so Oliver applauded her, nodding her head in approval.
'How long have you been doing this?"
‘before your damn ass started doing it,' she thought to herself but smiled at Oliver.
'All my life," she replied with a giggle instead. She placed both hands on the club and stared into the distance.
'You are so good at this," He complimented.
‘of course, I am good at it, I am not you,' she thought, sarcastically.
'My dad is a pro, he used to force me to do it, I guess it paid off, I get to receive a compliment from you," she said, her lips forming a shy smile.
'I see,"
'He is a great man, he is into construction, he have these big companies and made a name for himself, his brother is no less, he controls a wide range if pharmaceutical companies,"
'That is cool,"
'Yeah," she nodded. 'I heard that Sparkle has companies that deal with both," she added and he nodded.
'We do that but other members of my family are the one in charge of it,"
'Too bad, that stuff rakes in billions of dollars, the last project my dad did brought forth a hundred billion dollars, he celebrated with my uncle, they had a dinner together, I heard that uncle also struck gold, even more than dad's," she explained, maintaining the casual tone but trying to entice him, so far, she had been successful because she could see the interest in her eyes.
'They have a lot of people under their control, nobody dares to cross them," she moved closer to Oliver, the golf all forgotten. 'Members of the Mafia also respect them, people say that it is because it is them but I think that it is because of the money, they would all lose the respect once the money is out of the table," she whispered.
'That's crazy," he said, acting as nonchalant as ever but Luci knew that she had him right where she wanted him when she saw him running his index finger over the thumb.
'You are an early bird, why don't you deepen your hold before it is too late?" She asked, staring at him in the eyes, this is where confidence is needed.
'You have quite the experience when it comes to business," he said and Luci deliberately forced a smile, anyone staring at her would think that she is trying to make it as genuine as possible.
'I only try, my father doesn't involve me in business, most of the times, I just use the knowledge I gain as a bystander,"
'I am sorry, seems like I poked a sore spot,"
'It is okay. It just doesn't feel right to know nothing about the business world when my father knows a lot about it," she said pitifully.
All what she had been saying was the truth, she knew that a man like Oliver would have done his assignment on her or would do so as soon as she was out of his presence if he hadn't done it before.
'It is okay, how about this, we wander in the maze together, the business world could definitely use a woman like you,"
Good, the man had seen her benefits and he is trying to hold on.
'Yes, that would be cool, that works!" She exclaimed with fake enthusiasm.
She took her bag and started to arrange it, before turning to stare at Oliver.
'I would let you know when any opportunity arise with my dad,"
'I would always be ready," he told her with a small smile but Luci knew that he was smirking, well they both were.
Her phone rang and she nodded, it was the perfect timing.
'Hello, Claire," she said into the phone.
'Are you with him?"
'Yes, I am,"
'Well, you may start. I am going to drop the phone now,"
'What? Really? I thought that I placed the best odds, you got two million dollars while I got only one?" She said and stood up, strapping her bag to her back.
'Bye Oliver," he said to the man who was pretending not to listen and he nodded.
'Come on, we were both gambling at the same time, the den was…" She intentionally trailed off as she went away, she could feel Oliver's eyes on her.

Sapphire entered the room and met Luci sitting there alone, her phone in her hand as she browsed the internet.
She would have been later than this if Melissa and her group didn't stop the bully, they gave her clothes to her as soon as Melissa got an important call from work so everyone dispersed.
She definitely didn't like the Samantha girl, she would be sure to deal with her when the time comes but she wants to analyze the situation first.
Samantha didn't like her but she stayed in her lane. Sue wasn't surprised that she was friends with Melissa, they are so compatible, class, behavior, attitude, personality and all.
'You wouldn't believe that those bitches found another person to take it out on, I mean must they do that?" Sapphire asked as she sat on the chair but Luci only glared at her.
'What's up with that glare, you look like you want to murder me," she said.
'I don't want to murder you but I am sure that the kids want to, I thought you made a promise,"
'What promise, I didn't…." She trailed off before gasping in shock. 'Oh my, I totally forgot," she said.
'Don't you think that you are getting too invested in this revenge stuff?"
'I.."
'You don't have time for those around you and the kids, when was the last time you had a conversation that had nothing to do with the Revenge plan with me and Claire? You leave the kids with me and kept disappointing them, you neglect them and Alexander,"
'But.."
'You only had whatever conversation you had with Alexander because he was shot,"
'You are right," Sapphire said with a downcasted expression.
'Sapphire," Luci took her hand. 'I know that you want revenge but you only get the satisfaction when all your loved ones are with you after you get the revenge, it would feel hollow and lonely if you had to toast to yourself when celebrating it," Luci said and Sapphire nodded.
'Yes, she is right, let us celebrate with you, me, her, Alyssa, Alicia, the kids, Alexander, Ruby. We were a whole lot of bunch," Claire said, from behind her, she was hugging her.
'Uhm.." Sapphire said, blinking the tears that made their way to her eyes back. 'Thanks guys, I didn't realized that I was losing myself in it,"
'Always," Luci said with a smile.
'You are welcome, now go to your kids and apologize, take your punishment too," Claire said with a chuckle and Sapphire raced up the stairs.
'They are in Alexander's room,"
Sapphire opened the door and met all of them sitting at a spot, probably discussing something,they kept shut when they saw her enter.
'Hi Xander," she greeted and he nodded
"Hello, kids," she said but got no response. She sat where they were.
'I know, I know that I was wrong and I am sorry, I made a promise to you guys and failed it, I also kept neglecting, I didn't realized that I was doing that, I am sorry that I let you down," she apologized and they kept staring at each other before the kids nodded.
'Okay," Andrea said and Sapphire smiled before opening her hand wide for them to come to, they did so with giggles.
'Well, you get punished,"
'I am willing to take it," she told them and Alexander smiled.
'Go on a date with dad," they said at the same time and Sapphire stared at them with wide eyes.
'What?" She asked, staring at Alexander who held her gaze.
