She had taunted Oliver earlier that she was going to yoga practice when what she had was cooking class, if he knew about that and had corrected her it would have been so embarrassing, she could be really clumsy and forgetful at times.
This place doesn't really bring good memories to her, the fact that it looked just the same wasn't helping her case, she wasn't really nervous about coming here, it is not just easy to most of them at once because she is sure that more than twenty rich ladies would be here, heiresses, Directress, Manager, some are even CEO like Melissa and Tiara.
'Oh my God!" Someone said, dramatically. The voice was coming from behind her but she didn't make a move to turn, she already knew who it was, she faced the receptionist who was staring at her suspiciously because she was treating her well.
She must have been so used to rude people that she forgot the normal thing was being polite to one another.
'Is that really you, Sapphire? The person asked, rushing to stand in front of her, Sapphire stared at the woman from her toes to her hair and confirmed the Tiara Luther hadn't changed a bit, at least her sense of fashion and personality.
She still wore the most expensive of brands, uses the best product in the market and is glittering all the time.
She gave her a polite smile.
'Hi, Tiara," She greeted and the woman covered her mouth with her hands, her limited edition bag dangling on her hand, eyes as huge as balls.
'Oh my god," She replied, staring at Sapphire from head to toe.
Tiara Luther, the CEO of Luther Empire, she controls a vast company and did a pretty good job on it, she is the only daughter of her family, she had been the heiress since birth and her only aim was to direct and manage the family's legacy.
Until she fell in love with Jeremy Ed, a wealthy Italian man who hails from a family of chefs, it is a rule that anyone that want to get married to a member of the Ed family must know how to cook and Tiara also discovered that not being able to cook and dress femininely is a big turn off for the man.
So yeah, she did, she started dressing femininely but because of her lack of knowledge in it, she chose only the best of the best and the most shining.
She also built the whole building and employed chefs from all countries, learning how to cook some food from all countries but most especially, Italian dishes. She invited all her ‘rich friends' to the class just like the way she was invited now.
And four years later, here they are, still learning how to make dishes because guess what? She did not have the enough skills to be considered by Mr. Ed, who Sapphire now thinks is a condescending bastard anyway.
'You look so different! In the pretty way, I can say that you are more beautiful than Melissa now, well, I think that you have always been,"
'You are not so bad yourself, Tiara," Sapphire said with a polite smile.
Among all the ladies who learn at All-Dishes _ that was the name of the cooking class_ Tiara was the only who could be said to be totally uninvolved with the bullying that happens there, between managing her empire and obsessing over Luther, she never had the time.
'You look so classy when you are not wearing those nonsense you wore to please that damn Gray," She said and took her hand, dragging her to the elevator. 'I heard that you are now married to Alexander? Damn that is another level of upgrade, how did you snag that man, he was my first crush,"
'I thought that was Luther," Sapphire said, turning her head to look at her.
'No, It was Alexander, Luther is my first love, still is," She said with a dreamy look, Sapphire shook her head and quickly stopped the elevator from closing, she paused when she saw her standing there, her hand crossed over her chest.
'Hi Gladys, you haven't seen Sapphire since she arrived in New York, have you? I am sure you heard about it at the club, tell me hasn't she changed?"
'I thought you have eyes, why don't you answer the damn question yourself?" Gladys asked and Tiara rolled her eyes.
'Kill joy!" She muttered and they entered.
Gladys Jack, a director at one of the best music schools in New York, she had a voice that could make angels swoon but retired early, she got married three years ago and they all attended.
Rumors said they love each other even though she and her husband haven't seen themselves for three years. She is sassy and couldn't care less about what you thought of her.
While Tiara created the cooking class, Gladys formed the idea of a club and formed it. She was the club president before Melissa came and hijacked the position from her, so they are sworn enemies but both just ignore the other's existence.
The elevator opened and they got to the place they were going to but at the door they met both Melissa and Heather standing there and Sapphire almost groaned.
What a good way to start the beginning of a journey indeed!
'Face up, bitches," Tiara yelled, getting everyone's attention. 'Do anyone still recognize her?"
'Stop yelling, you are giving me a headache, it is not like the person is important," Heather said with a groan.
'How about you slam it on the wall in order to keep it straight?" Sapphire asked with a raised brow and stared at her in surprise.
They all didn't expect her to talk, she would have kept staring at them! When she used to attend the class three years ago, and she avoid anything that could lead to any form of confrontation.
In short, she was a wimp.
'Are you talking to me?" Heather asked with a scoff.
'Did playing deaf become the trend?" Sapphire asked, dropping her bag on the table nonchalantly.
The ladies started whispering among themselves, talking about how speechless Heather had become, her ears had turned so red and she fumed angrily.
'Has whoring yourself become the trend to you too?" Heather asked, taking the conversation to an entirely different angle.
'What the hell are you talking about? I am not your damn mirror," Sapphire answered.
'Don't play dumb Sapphire, I know that you are working at Oliver's company," Heather said and the rest of the rich ladies started talking among themselves, whispering under their breath.
No one dared to talk out, maybe because of the fear they had for Heather or the savage responses Sapphire seemed to have packed.
'Tell me, let's be honest here?" Heather said, moving closer to her, she stood right in front of her and smiled. 'Do you want Oliver back? Do you want my MAN?" She asked, emphasizing on the word ‘man'.
They both stared at each other, Heather with a mocking smile and Sapphire with a blank expression.
'Why would I want your man? I am not even sure why you want your man," Sapphire said, standing straight. 'Besides, he is my ex and we have never heard of the calendar counting the days backward," She had a mocking smirk on her face now.
'Now move, your breath stinks," she said and made a disgusted face.
Heather's face was all flushed and her hands were shaking in anger, she raised her hand to slap Sapphire but the latter caught his hand and grabbed Heather's hair with the right, holding it tightly in her hand which made Heather scream.
She released the hand she was holding while Heather was still in pain and gave a resounding slap on her cheek with the back of her hand.
