Lilith's POV

The tension in the council room grew stronger with every second, almost hard to breathe in. I looked at Adams and saw his strong will mixed with some worry. We were side by side, ready to face the dangers that were getting closer to our group.

My heart raced as unspoken thoughts lingered between us, a silent talk that only we understood. In a shared moment of clarity, I saw him nod slowly, a small sign of comfort in the surrounding turmoil.

I took a big breath and stood up, noticing everyone was looking at me. This was my moment, one I had dreamed about for so long, but also worried about.

'Yes," I said firmly, even though I felt nervous inside. 'The rogue king is after me because the Moon Goddess chose me!"

A surprised gasp went through the group, showing the shock in their faces. The room fell silent and thick with tension. I looked at Adams. His face showed a strong mix of pride and care, reminding me that I wasn't fighting this battle alone. Beta Ronan moved a bit beside me, his face hard to read but still encouraging.

I kept going, the burden of my words hanging over everyone. 'We have hidden for too long because of our fears and doubts, but the truth is simple: my bond with the Moon Goddess has given me powers beyond human understanding."

The whispers in the room grew into a loud mix of disbelief and curiosity, but amid the noise, I noticed that Adams Ronan and his brothers were calm. They already knew.

After what felt like a long wait, one person finally spoke up. 'This... this could be real," he said, his voice shaking.

I turned my focus back to the council, using their surprise to strengthen my determination. 'Listen to me!" I insisted, my voice growing louder above the murmurs filling the room.

'We shouldn't argue about titles or who deserves to lead. We are in a war—an actual war! The rogue king is coming with his whole army and the question is not who will lead us but how we will stop him!"

My words met a silence so deep that it seemed like the air was gone from the room. The faces of the council members changed from doubt to understanding as they started to grasp the seriousness of my statement. They glanced at each other, likely considering what my words could mean.

Before the tension could clamp down too hard, the creaking door swung open, and a guard stepped inside. His eyes were wide, filled with urgency as he strode toward Adams, the air around him crackling with fear. Leaning forward, he whispered fiercely into Adams' ear, his words laced with panic.

Adams' face turned white, losing its color as his hands clenched at his sides. This caused a shock of surprise to run through the room. Confusion quickly turned to fear as I watched him. A shared sense of dread spreading among everyone there.

He looked around the room, checking the faces of the council members, and when he finally spoke, it felt like a sharp knife cutting through our earlier talks.

'He's near," Adams said, his voice a deep rumble that echoed in the quiet, making it clear what he meant.

'What do you mean by 'he's close'?" One of the voices, just a whisper, shook in the tense air.

Adams looked at me, trying to stay calm. 'We can't waste time. They're close to our land and if we don't—"

I jumped in, driven by excitement and need. 'So let's come together! Forget past fights, the talk of betrayal, and any issues about family ties!"

My heart raced thinking about the upcoming battle, but I spoke firmly. 'We have a shared enemy now, and we need every fighter with us."

Adams stepped ahead, his strong presence commanding respect that quieted the council again. 'Lilith is correct. We must get ready for war."

'Why should we trust your mate? She's not one of us!" an angry voice shouted, trying to bring me down. The person moving in their seat, doubt showing in their words.

'She is not a stranger!" Adams yelled his voice loudly in the room, using his authority like a shield. 'She is my mate, your Luna Queen. She cares for our pack completely. While some of you cling to old grudges and think about your power, she is set to lead us into battle! You should all try to have at least half of her strength, especially since trouble is getting too close!"

The loud whispers died down as everyone listened closely to his passionate speech. I noticed the council members considering Adams' statements, their feelings of guilt and shame battling with their wishes for respect.

'But what can she do?" another voice chimed in, sounding unsure but interested.

I paid attention to that voice. 'I can heal," I said, my voice shaking. 'I can heal our fighters, our hurt friends and family. The Moon Goddess has given me this strength to keep our people safe."

A wave of surprise went through the council—some gasped while others looked at each other in shock. 'But healing powers?" one of them finally asked, looking confused. 'How can we believe that you, an unknown queen, can handle what is coming?"

Adams moved in closer to protect me. 'She has shown her strength over and over even in tough situations. She has seen awful things that would defeat weaker people, yet she's still here. Should we waste time doubting her skills or should we make use of them?"

Ronan cleared his throat and everyone looked at him. 'It's true," he said seriously. 'Lilith has already saved lives in our group. We all remember how she saved Adams in the last fight with the rogues. She healed injuries nobody thought could be fixed."

A quiet nod of agreement began to grow among the council. Bits of doubt fading away as clarity took hold. I felt a rush of strength inside me, a promise from the Moon Goddess telling me to seize this moment fully. For every bit of doubt that remained, I aimed to fill it with confidence.

'Now is the time to come together!" I kept going, my heart racing with excitement. 'We can't focus on what makes us different. The bad king will take advantage of our splits. He thrives on our fears and worries. If we don't unite we might lose it all."

Adams frowned while he scanned the room watching the council members' responses. 'What do you think we should do?" he asked, steering the discussion back to the real threat outside.

'We come together," I said confident in what I believed. 'We make a plan. We get ready. We prepare to face the rogue king as one, not as separate groups but as a united team—the Bloodhound, the Green Forest, and other packs with us."

'But how can we unite everyone?" one unsure member asked, fear clear in their voice. 'Some might still support the rebel king!"

'Then we must inspire loyalty," Adams said firmly, fully embracing his role as Alpha King. 'We will prove to them why they should trust us and why they should stay loyal to our pack and our queen. We are stronger together with everyone...!"

He then looked at Kael. 'Captain, I have another task for you," he said.
