Chapter 74
1000words
"Mr. Hollen, Jason and Miss. Wright, welcome to Aquarius. We've been expecting you," a very professional young lady said as she walked towards us dressed in her seablue colored uniform.
"Thank you for having us," I answered. She smiled warmly.
"I'm your host, Harmony. If there's any inquiries, please don't hesitate to ask. Right this way," she offered and we followed.
She showed us to our underwater suite which consisted of three bedrooms and enough space for Jason to gallop.
"When can I go swimming with the dolphins?" Jason asked for the thousandth time.
"Like, right now. Change into some trunks and let's hit the pool," Jevan told him. Jason squealed and Jevan took him to change then they left for the pool with the dolphins.
We were spending the weekend here and I was looking forward to having some fun as well. Setting my carry-on bag aside, I left the room to explore.
As I watched fishes swam the ocean from the glass, someone walked up to me.
"Blossom? Blossom Wright? I thought that was you."
I turned to the voice. "I'm sorry but who are you?"
"I'm Connor. I was best friends with Jevan when we were in school together."
"Connor. Oh I remember. How are you?"
"I'm doing great. And yourself?"
"I'm doing good too."
"It's really nice to hear that after all these years. And you've changed to be extremely beautiful. You were beautiful before."
"Thank you Connor. I'm here with Jevan and our son," I quickly said.
"Oh snap! I haven't seen Jevan in so long. I'm also here with my family. I have a wife and a beautiful daughter. There they are right there." He pointed to a woman who was showing fishes to a smiling little girl.
"Congrats. That's really nice."
"And congrats to you too. I'm glad you and Jevan are back together. Last I heard was that he was getting married to Adobi Street."
"Yeah, well, things change in life."
"That they do. The worst was what happened to Brooke. You do remember her, don't you?"
"Of course I do. How can I forget?"
"Karma caught her. Her parents divorced after her father found her mom in their bed with several police officers."
"Several?"
"Yes. She got nothing after the divorce and Brooke was left with her because it turned out that Brooke wasn't even his daughter."
I was shell-shocked. "No way!"
"Way. So for all the crap she pulled on you in highschool, she's broke and looking for a meal ticket."
I laughed as I remembered when I found her with Hunter in his office on two occasions.
"Call me evil, but this getaway just got better for me," I said.
"Cheers. Well, it was nice seeing you. I'll catch up with Jevan later."
"Sure. See you around."

I went to find Jevan and Jason at the pool.
"Jevan! Guess who I saw?"
"Ummm... Obama?"
"No silly. What would Obama be doing at an Underwater resort?"
"Relaxing."
"I saw Connor."
"No way! Where is he?"
"Somewhere around here with his wife and daughter."
"Connor got a wife and daughter?"
"Yeah."
We were making a huge mistake because we were talking instead of looking at Jason. The dolphin he was petting, he got on top of it and something terrible happened. The dolphin drove straight down into the water.
"Mister! Your kid! The dolphin took your kid under!" someone yelled.
Jevan drove into the pool and pulled Jason up.
"JASON! OH MY GOD! Is he breathing?"
Jevan immediately started CPR.
"Oh God! He's not waking up!"
Blossom's POV
I grew numb as I watched Jevan performed CPR on our son. It felt like I was the one who needed it because my breath was being held from my lungs.
*coughs*
"Oh thank you God." I exhaled the last breath I was holding as Jason's grey eyes opened and he started breathing again.
Jevan picked rolled him to his side for the remainder of the water left his mouth before he picked him up.
The resort's doctor came to our aid and took Jason to the recovery room. Jevan came back to my side afterwards.
"Hey. Are you okay?" he asked me.
"That was the scariest thing that ever happened to me, Jevan. We almost lost our son."
He pulled me in for a hug. "He's going to be okay. Jason is a fighter. It was all my fault though. I shouldn't have taken my eyes off him."
"It was an accident. Let's just be grateful that he's alive and he'll be okay."
_________
The following day, Jason made a full recovery and Jevan took us back home.
I didn't complain one bit nor did Jason. He didn't miss the dolphins either.
"Ah. The comfort of being back home," I said as I got settled in the mansion.
"Mommy, can I go watch TV?"
"Sure. Don't sit too close to the screen, okay?"
"Okay."
I watched as he ran to his bedroom. Jevan seized the moment by circling my waist and pulling me into his chest.
"So, will you be sleeping in my bedroom tonight?" he whispered in my ear.
"Jevan, why must you be so tempting?"
"And why must you be so irresistible?"
I smirked and turned to face him. My arms circling his neck. "Okay. Tonight and forever."
"Really?"
He didn't wait for a response. He picked me up and carried me up the stairs.
Why couldn't we just take the elevator?

Jevan's POV
After an almost disastrous weekend, I was back in the office with the brightest smile and best mood. Blossom had made the step of fully rekindling our relationship.
A knock came to my door before my father strolled on in.
"How's Jason?" was his first question. I had called him before we left the resort to inform him what had happen.
"He's much better."
