Chapter 7 Lily and Grey's Secret

Lily's smile faded, replaced with a perplexed frown. "Dark aura and a counting down clock? I didn't see anything. He's just a cold, protective, and annoying guy!" she exclaimed, her voice a mixture of disbelief and frustration. Her words only fueled my curiosity further.

"So, it seems you are very familiar with him, huh?" I probed gently, wanting to delve deeper into their complicated dynamic.

"What the hell? Don't tell me that!" Lily exclaimed, exasperation evident in her voice. Sensing the need for a change of scenery, she quickly switched gears. "Let's go somewhere else? I will invite you to have fun today. Don't think about what the holy crystal ball says about you!" she declared, immediately taking hold of my hand and pulling me along.

I couldn't help but be taken aback by her sudden shift in conversation. Lily seemed determined to distract herself and me from the enigma that was Gray Wolfred. As we ventured into the busy streets, I let Lily's infectious enthusiasm take over, momentarily forgetting about the mysterious dark aura and counting down the clock I had observed.

Lily took me for a walk again. We went to several places, exploring the magical world that she had discovered. Even though this world was different from the one I was used to, it still had some striking similarities. One of those similarities was the bustling café outside Undermoon Academy.

As we entered the café, I saw people with extraordinary abilities. There were individuals with vibrant hair colors, others with wings on their backs, and some even had glowing auras surrounding them. It truly felt like we had stepped into a world of wonders.

Lily and I found a comfortable spot in the café yard and sat on the chairs. The weather is good for today, with light wind and cool air. We both decided to order the same menu - fresh fruit ice cream. While waiting for our order to arrive, I couldn't help but take in the surroundings.

I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the towering buildings surrounding us. They reached far into the sky, seemingly touching the clouds above. It made me wonder if anyone lived in those towering structures.

"Lily, what about those buildings? Do people live there?" I asked, pointing towards the magnificent structures.

Lily smiled and put down the special magazine she was engrossed in. "Those buildings are temporary," she explained. "In this magical world, Undermoon Academy has the ability to transform the landscape. The buildings will eventually merge with nature, transforming into trees and flat land. This region is safeguarded by powerful magic, hence the name Undermoon. No one can enter or destroy these buildings."

I nodded, trying to comprehend the intricacies of this world. "But if they can't enter the buildings, where do people stay at night?" I questioned, curious about their way of life.

"Undermoon provides shelter for its inhabitants," Lily replied. "There are dormitories and cozy rooms for students and staff. However, some people prefer to stay outside and embrace the natural surroundings by camping. They set up beautiful tents and spend their nights under the starry skies. It's a truly wonderful experience."

The ice cream finally arrived, adorned with a colorful assortment of fruits. We savored each spoonful as we continued our conversation, immersed in the enchanting atmosphere of the café.

Lily shared fascinating stories about the magical creatures she had encountered at Undermoon Academy. She spoke of fairies dancing in the moonlight, mystical creatures hidden in the forest's depths, and ethereal music that enchanted all who heard it.

Slowly, the sun began to set with beautiful sky colors, and Lily and I headed back towards Undermoon Academy. We bid farewell to the café, still filled with the vibrant energy of the extraordinary individuals we had encountered.

Lily and I walked under the moonlight towards Undermoon Academy. The atmosphere of the Undermoon night is very different from the daytime. It's not just the moonlight that radiates but also a mysterious aura that can be felt in the air.

Suddenly, I felt someone's presence behind us. I turned and saw the figure of a man with a cold face handsome, tall, and athletic body.

"Where have you guys been? Lily, your friend is wanted by the academy staff!" said Grey with a cold and firm look at the two of us. Lily and I looked at each other, surprised by Grey's statement.

"What's wrong with the academy staff calling Moon?" Lily asked, curious and worried about the situation.

"I don't know! But I hope it's a good excuse for your friend. You don't want to lose Moon, do you? Lily!" said Grey in a voice full of worry but still firm.

"Yes! Alright. Moon, let's go meet the Undermoon academy staff?" Lily asked me with a worried face.

"Okay, I'll come," I answered.

Lily and I started to enter Undermoon Academy together and then headed toward the academy staff room.

The Undermoon Academy staff room felt tense, so many bodyguards roamed around. They saw us enter and immediately saluted Grey. Grey's status as an elite guard at the academy made us the center of attention in the staff room.

When we tried to approach a staff table, someone suddenly called out to Lily. "Lily, we need you here now!" exclaimed one of the staff in a worried tone. Lily and I exchanged glances, confused by the increasingly confusing situation. Without hesitation, Lily and I followed the staff to another room.

We were taken to the Undermoon Academy headroom. We sat opposite the academy head, who looked at us thoughtfully.

"Good evening, Lily and....." said the head of the Undermoon academy.

"Moon," I answered, introducing myself briefly.

"Good evening, Lily and Moon. I'm sorry I called you suddenly tonight and disturbed your time," said the head of the Undermoon Academy seriously.

"No problem, madam headmaster. Tell me something you need?" said Lily with great care and respect.

"Ah, this is not an easy thing for me to say," said the head of the Undermoon Academy with a worried expression.

"Just tell me what it is, madam? As long as I can do it, I'll do it well!" Lily answered firmly and with steady determination. The Undermoon Academy head took a deep breath before revealing the brutal truth.

"Sorry, Lily. Sorry, Moon. I really apologize to both of you. Moon, would you like to study at the Undermoon Academy? I don't mean to bring you down, but there is an urgent reason for you to stay here," said the head of the Undermoon Academy in a full voice. Worried but still firm.

I was silent, not believing what I had just heard. I looked at the head of the Undermoon Academy with a look that was a mixture of confusion and surprise.

"Sorry, it's not that I want to refuse. But I don't have any ability to attend Undermoon academy," I answered honestly.

"Oh, about ability. That doesn't matter at all. How did you come here?" asked the head of the Undermoon academy, with curiosity shining through his eyes.

"I was reading an ancient book in front of a mirror and it accidentally brought me here. I think this is just a coincidence. The holy crystal has also proven that I don't have magical powers," I answered carefully.

"I see! It doesn't matter to me. I don't care whether you have magical powers or not. I think just you coming here is already a miracle for me. It's quite strange if you don't have magical powers but can come to this place. Lily, do you agree that the Moon is in this Undermoon? It is your responsibility for her presence?" said the head of the Undermoon Academy with a look full of hope.

Lily took a deep breath, considering all the possibilities and consequences that might occur if Moon stayed at Undermoon.

"In this difficult situation, I think I have to be responsible for Moon's presence in Undermoon. I agree that Moon lives here and will look after him as best as possible," Lily answered firmly and determinedly.

The Undermoon Academy head nodded, looking relieved by Lily's decision. Moon's presence at Undermoon will add uniqueness and distinction to the academy's image and provide new opportunities for Moon to grow and develop.

That's why Undermoon is the right place for Moon. "Every individual has potential and value that can make a unique contribution to their environment, regardless of background or ability. The most important thing is the courage to take opportunities and consider responsibility for the decisions taken. In this case, both Moon and Lily have shown courage and responsibilities," said the head of the Undermoon Academy proudly.

After a long conversation with the head of the Undermoon Academy, the main point was that I was allowed to be at the Undermoon Academy and take part in learning even though I didn't have magical knowledge. Lily and I came out of the headmistress of Undermoon Academy's room with sweet smiles.

Grey watched the two girls walk out of the academy staff room, immediately following their steps.

Lily and I were outside the Undermoon Academy staff room. Lily was pleased to hear the conversation that had just occurred with the mistress of the Undermoon Academy principal.

"Lily, this is our first step to fight for what we have always dreamed of," I said while looking at the Undermoon Academy building, which was majestic and mysterious.

"Yes, that's right! I can stay with you. You will go to school here, and I will be your first friend. Madam Head of Undermoon Academy is very kind," said Lily, hugging me tightly.

Immediately, we were surprised by the presence of Gray, who stared at us coldly.

"What just happened inside? Lily didn't make a mess, right?" Gray asked.

"I didn't do anything wrong! Don't look at me sarcastically!" Lily said firmly.

"Oh, okay. I have to go. It's tiring to keep seeing two strange girls today. Go back to your beds, don't wander around at night. It's vampire class time. Understand?" Gray said sarcastically and just walked away.

"Okay! I'll invite Lily to stay at my place," Lily shouted as she grabbed my hand. Took me to her house.

Lily and I went to the girls' dormitory, where we will live and start a new adventure at Undermoon Academy. This dormitory is what Lily calls home.

The dormitories are neatly arranged like apartment buildings. We immediately entered the house and were happy to see a comfortable and welcoming room. Lily and I went to the house's veranda and sat on chairs, enjoying the beautiful view of the night sky. What I did was the same as what other dorm room residents did.

"Tonight it seems like the vampire group is holding special training for the upcoming match," said a girl, one of the dormitory residents, talking to her close friend.

"Yes, that's right. I remember tonight. Is that why the protection in this dormitory is stronger?" answered her close friend.
