She thought may be she will need him in some situations.....
Just before the time of dinner she received a call from her so called mother ....
" Your father is asking for your presence in the dinning so came in a representable manner..." She said strictly ....Carol nodded and said " okay mother " ... But Mandy got angry " don't call me mother you are not my daughter " she said in disgust she cut the call ....
Tears welled up in her eyes making her vision blurry she took a deep breath ....she open her wardrobe and pick simple presentable dress...
She changed and put some light makeup although she don't need makeup to look pretty

Stiffen looked at the photo in his hand where there was a lady with bright smile her blue eyes and the a handsome men hugging her in the photo this was the wedding photo of him and his beloved wife Elsa Burnett.... Then he looked at his daughter picture her blue eyes brown hairs just like her mother ....
she is pretty like her mother... Although she never saw her ... He hide this fact that he still love his only daughter the only thing that Elsa left for him saying that to not abounded her.... She knew that she can't carry this child but still she insisted to have her the doctors said that she may lose more blood because her body is week to hold a baby due to anemia ....
her mother die when she born due to excess lost of blood during her birth she die after being in coma for a week .....
And for all of that his father blame her stiffen loved his wife dearly but her death then was not able to became a king made him so distressed that he blocked his heart for her but he needed his son so that he can inherited his genes because he knew from start that carol did not inherited his blood of dragon but instead of her mother she looked like her mother when she was young but he still kept this hope may be ....but he can't let his second wife throw her away because he knew that carol was liying about not having any powers ...
But he believes what she said and didn't insisted on further test so Mandy don't force him to kick her out ...
He was proud of his daughter that she is good in everything she studied well and also she earn by her own ability ....
He was afraid that one day if he really have to send her away or something happens to him she needed to be that strong so she can stand on her on own feet's .....
He did once rised his hand on her because he believes on his second wife's words that were complete Lia ....when he knew about it he felt regret to slap his dear daughter....
But Carol might think her dad is heartless ..demon ,devil or monster ...who kills innocent people ....yes I turned into devil became a piece of trash .....and only hatered is in my eyes .....
She might think I don't care for her .... Only I knew that how hard it is for me to scold you not treat you like a treasure.....but treat you as a bargaining chip .....I'm such a bad dad ... " Elsa will you forgive me " stiffen was about to break down ........
*Knock knock*.....on his door pulled him out of his thoughts ....he wipes away his tears and said ...." Come in " ....
" Honey why do you want to call her here for dinner " Mandy was annoyed and said as she walk up to him.....
" I'm the head of the family and you have no right to asked me questions about my decisions." Stiffen said in his cold strict voice .....
" Why are you in a bad mood I didn't do anything " Mandy pouted as she hold his hand She was irritated because she knew why he is being like this she hated Elsa from the bottom of her heart .....
" Let's go the guest are here we should welcome them .." stiffen changed the topic and walk away ....
Mandy followed him ...." Where is Solomon " stiffen asked annoyed by his spoiled son ...
" Oh I will go and call him " Mandy want to call Solomon ......

Carol came in with bodyguard escorting her to the dinning room....
The room is not so bright it's well color is gray and black ........
Carol saw her father who just came in time .... He looked at carol he gesture her to come over .
Carol smile bright she felt relief that her father is not looking angry instead he looks more calm now she happily walk up to him .....
Stiffen open his arms to embrace his daughter ...
Carol was taken a back ...her eyes turned red and tears welled up ....she knew that her father love her but don't show much affections
In front of her step mother .....but the hug did not least long and stiffen pulled back ...
As he caress her Head " my daughter looks lovely in this dress today my friend came here with his family and before I decide your engagement with his son I wanted to ask you and you don't need to chase Anthony away from Lisa .... it's just I was so into taking revenge I forget about you ... please forgive Dady ...sigh I wanted to ask whether you want to marry him or not I will not force you " ....
Stiffen give her an assuring smile .......
Carol could not believe her ears is she listens correct ... Her father .... She don't have words to describe her feelings... She nodded her tears fall due to happiness ....." Now don't cry otherwise Dady may think you still not forgive me " ....
She shake her head " I'm just happy dad " she wipes her tears ....
